Contractor examining a stack of surplus lumber and palletized material at a jobsite

If it came off a jobsite, it's probably on OFFLOADIT.

Surplus materials

Lumber, drywall, concrete, block, roofing, flooring, insulation, pipe, conduit, fixtures. Leftover from projects that closed — still full grade, still usable.

Heavy equipment

Excavators, skid steers, lifts, compactors, rollers. Priced to move because the seller's project is done, not because the machine is.

Tools & small equipment

Power tools, hand tools, compressors, generators, scaffolding. Everything your crew needs that doesn't have to come from a box store at full price.

Electrical & mechanical

Wire, breakers, conduit, HVAC equipment, plumbing rough-in. Pulled or leftover from commercial and residential jobs.

Hardscape & site materials

Block, pavers, retaining wall units, gravel, rebar. Often available in large quantities at a fraction of supply house pricing.

Overstock & closeouts

Full pallets, full bundles, full lots. Dealers and distributors clearing inventory. Quantities are real — bring a trailer.

Five steps. Most deals close the same week.

  1. 1

    Search and filter

Browse by category, brand, price, condition, and location. Set a radius and you'll see what's available near your jobsite right now. Most listings include photos, dimensions, quantity, and condition notes.

  2. 2

    Message the seller

Ask questions directly through in-app messaging. Confirm quantity, condition, pickup availability, or whether delivery is an option. Keep everything in the app — it protects both sides.

  3. 3

    Agree on terms

Settle on price, payment method, and pickup or delivery before you go anywhere. OFFLOADIT lets you negotiate directly — no platform fee charged to buyers.

  4. 4

    Inspect before you pay

Check the item in person before money changes hands. For equipment, run it. For materials, verify quantity and condition. See our Inspect Before You Buy guide for a full checklist.

  5. 5

    Close the deal

Complete payment and take possession. Use a traceable payment method. Get a receipt or confirmation message. You're done — material's on the truck, money's saved.

Find what you need, near where you need it.

Filter by location radius so you're not hauling material from three states away. Sort by price, condition, or recency. Search by brand if you know exactly what you're after. The closer the seller, the lower your total cost — and you can actually go look at it before you buy.

With 4,500+ users on the app, new listings post regularly. Set up a search and you'll know when something matching your criteria hits the market.

Most deals close without a hitch. Here's how to keep yours in that category.

OFFLOADIT connects real contractors and tradespeople — the vast majority of transactions are straightforward. A few habits protect you on every deal: keep your messages in the app, inspect before you pay, and use a traceable payment method.

We've put together two quick references every buyer should know:

  • Safety Tips — what to watch for, how to avoid the rare bad actor, how to report a problem.
  • Inspect Before You Buy — checklists for equipment, materials, and paperwork.

The material you need is probably already listed.
